When I was younger, I had lots of acne and oily skin. As I grew older, I figured out ways to get rid of acne, oily face and have clear skin. Changing my diet made a big difference in my acne. I started eliminating processed food from my diet, and starting eating more fruits and vegetables. I went gluten and dairy free and I notice that I rarely got a pimple and I overall felt better. I also started using more natural skin care because a lot of store brought face products have harsh chemicals. If you can't eat it, why apply it to your face? Today I'm going to share with you my favorite face mask. It's perfect for oily and dry skin. It cleanses your skin by removing all the dirt and makeup on your face. Leaving your skin soft and moisturized. I love this DIY face mask because it's natural, free of harsh chemicals and you probably have these items at home.

2 Egg whites

1 Teaspoon of Chia Seeds

1/2 of Ripe Banana


Mix it all together and leave it for 30 minutes. Once it's a jelly consistency, apply it to your face and leave it on for 10 minutes or more. Now wash your face, and you'll notice a big difference on how clean and soft your skin feels.

Summer is officially here and that means a new makeup routine. During the summer I don't like to wear a lot of makeup because of the heat and humidity. I also like my makeup to be sweat proof because the worst thing ever is having your makeup melt off your face or transferred on to someones shirt when you hug them. How To Get Rid Of Anxiety And Stress Naturally | Adashofvanilla

We all have days when we're full of anxiety and stress. Life isn't perfect, things could be going great and then suddenly something happens and you feel out of balance. As someone who deals with anxiety, I've discovers quick and easy ways to calm my stress levels when needed.


COLD SHOWER


Whenever I'm stressed out and I can't stop over thinking, I stop everything I'm doing and take a quick cold shower. When I first jump in and turn the cold water on, I feel the ice water on my skin and there's a shock to my system. I can't think of anything but how cold the water is, but it takes strong will power and discipline to continue. After I'm done, I suddenly feel a huge relief like I've done something wild like swimming in an ocean full of sharks. I notice that I'm full of endorphins, I feel alive and I'm more alert. I find that taking a cold shower is a quick and cheap to shift my mood when I'm stressed out. Throughout the day I feel a sense of calmness and that I can overcome anything.


528 HZ Music


Everything in life is vibration. When you're stressed out and full of anxiety, you're in a low vibrational frequency. A great way to change your vibration is by listening to music. When I'm stressed out I love listening to 528 HZ or 432 HZ frequency music and meditate. The universe vibrates in 528 HZ frequency and that is also the same frequency as love. 528 HZ frequency has said to be so powerful it can heal and repair damage DNA, and bring peace and harmony to everything around it.

FACE THE FEAR


Sometimes the best thing to do when you're dealing with anxiety is to get down to the root and fix the problem. I'm an overthinker and sometimes my mind focuses on all the negative, like what could go wrong. The best way I found to get rid of anxiety is to face the fear and reward myself after. For an example, if I have a job interview and I start over thinking about how I'm never going to get the job, and I'm not qualified. I force myself to attend the interview and reward myself afterward with a new bag or chocolate. It makes facing the fear a lot more easy.

After high school you realize that you were only friends with certain people because you saw them every day. It's funny looking back at old high school friends and the memories we made. But sometimes I feel like I have to stay connected with the same group of friends because of the past. There were amazing memories that I'll never forget. But I don't want to be friends with someone just because we share fun memories. People change, and sometimes those people turn out to be really close friends. That doesn't mean they're a bad person. It just means that your hobbies and passions have changed and the only time you ever have meaningful conversations with them, is when you're talking about the past or a fun experience you shared. I'll always remember those fun times. But as I get older I want to surround myself with people who inspire me. I want friends that dream big, but also take action each day to get closer to their dreams. Life sucks sometimes and so does losing a friend. People change and drift apart, and that's fine. I notice a huge difference after I started applying coconut oil on my hair every day before I sleep. My hair grows faster, and there is less damage from brushing and styling. After washing my hair, I brush it and apply coconut oil and leave it overnight. The next morning my hair is shiny and more manageable.

Eating a couple spoonfuls of coconut oil a day helps with weight loss because it reduces hunger by making you feel fuller all day long, helping you eat less.


Makeup Remover

Coconut oil is the perfect natural makeup remover. After a long day, remove makeup by applying some on a cotton ball and wipe around your skin until it's clean.

Use as Deodorant

Coconut oil is an antibacterial and contains lauric acid which kills odor caused by bacteria. After a shower, apply some under your armpit and you'll stay smelling fresh all day long.

Healthier Diet

When you're on a gluten free diet, you avoid processed foods full with chemicals and toxic ingredients. You're more likely to eat fruits and vegetables because they're completely gluten free, removing the worry of cross contamination. When I eliminated gluten from my diet. I couldn't snack on things like bread, cakes and cookies. I found myself munching on apples, carrots and grapes. Overall adding more nutritious foods to my diet.

Weight Loss

I notice that I lost weight when I went gluten free. I was less bloated because I ate fresh foods. I couldn't binge eat baked goods like cookies and cakes. When someone offered me food, most of the time it had gluten or I was worried about cross contamination, so I rejected it and grabbed an apple or some sort of fruit instead. 


Better Digestion

Before I went gluten free, I always felt bloating and had lots of digestion problems. After a meal I wanted to take a nap and I never had any energy. After going gluten free, I felt more energized. My body can finally digest all the vitamins and mineral in my food. I also notice a big improvement in my bowel habits.
